Pile

Pile allows you to calculate vertical loads and resulting settlements on a range of pile sections with ease. Wizard allows you to apply partial factors (including EC7) and results are shown in a clear graphical format that can be exported easily.

Calculate load capacity and settlements for single piles with ease.

Pile design and load capacity software, calculates the vertical load carrying capacities and vertical settlements of a range of individual piles in a layered soil deposit.

Pile can be used to determine both pile load capacity as well as its settlement and the surrounding ground displacement. Loads carrying capacity calculations using static formula from EC7 and IS 2911 are supported. Problems can quickly be set up in the software to find results using the graphical and tabular outputs, which can be exported for post-processing.

How Pile Works

Input: Wizards enable you to quickly input your pile data. You can choose to analyse capacity only, settlement only or both. The soil is specified in layers. Each layer is set to be drained (frictional) or undrained (cohesive) and appropriate strength parameters are specified. Maximum values can be set for ultimate soil/shaft friction stress and end bearing stress within each layer. Porewater pressures within the soil deposit can be set to hydrostatic or piezometric. Pile capacities may be calculated for a range of pile lengths and a range of cross-section types

Analysis: There are two approaches available when calculating the capacity of the pile; working-load approach and the limit-state approach. Pile can be used to apply partial factors and codes, including Eurocode 7. The theory of the calculations is based on both conventional and new methods for drained (frictional) and undrained (cohesive) soils. Settlements are calculated for solid circular sections without under-ream.

Outputs: Both detailed tabular outputs and interactive graphical outputs are available. All data can be exported for post-processing.

Key Features & Benefits

  1. Range of pile sections available, including hollow, H piles and under-ream
  2. Partial Factor Wizard, including pre-defined cases in EC7
  3. Thermal pile analysis - using recent research methods
  4. Settlements can be calculated for pile and adjacent soils
  5. Quick analysis method
  6. Extensive output capabilities

Buy, Rent – 12 months, Rent – 6 months, Rent – 3 months, Rent – 1 month, 12 months maintenance (existing users only)

What should I choose?

Standalone Licences are locked to an individual machine but transferrable by the user to another machine. Ideal for single users.

Network Floating Licences can be activated on any number of machines, however you can only concurrently use the number of licences that you have purchased. Ideal for users requiring more flexibility or when working as part of a team.

Buying a licence will allow you the right to use that version of the software indefinitely. It includes 12 months of maintenance (technical support and access to software updates).

Renting the software enables you to use the software with full maintenance for the defined duration.

Keeping your software licences maintained gives you full access to technical support (telephone, email and web based) and ensures that your software is kept up-to-date with free downloadable updates. Maintenance is only available to existing licences and lasts 12 months. It is highly recommended that you keep your software licences maintained. Maintenance duration will be calculated from the date of expiry of the previous maintenance/initial warranty. If you are purchasing maintenance for licences that have been unmaintained for longer than 12 months please contact us in order to renew.

Note: complimentary 12 months support and maintenance is included when purchasing all products.
