Software Licensing Terms

Terms and Conditions of Purchase

The full conditions of purchase and maintenance for all Oasys software are set out in the Oasys Software Licence and Support Agreement. All prices are subject to TAX at the current rate.

Prices and specifications are subject to change without notice – please ask for a written quotation.

Although every care has been taken to ensure the accuracy of all information contained herein, the contents do not form or constitute a representation, warranty, or part of any contract.

Superseded Versions of Terms and Conditions

Oasys keeps copies of all superseded versions of its terms and conditions.

Maintenance & Support Services

Support and maintenance is included with all subscription licences for their full duration.

Annual maintenance contracts are available for software under a perpetual licence, prices are based on a percentage of the most recent list price.

This service includes:

  • telephone/email/web based support
  • free software updates available via internet download
  • personalised output header for many products

Data Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

All data is stored in secure electronic systems accessible only to Oasys staff with both valid network login credentials and specific authorisation to access the system.  Our systems further limit data access by role to ensure data is available only to those who have a specific need to see it.

If at any point you suspect or receive a suspicious communication from someone suggesting they work for Oasys or a website claiming to be affiliated with Oasys, please forward the communication to us or report the incident by email to [email protected] or in writing to Oasys, 13 Fitzroy Street, London, UK, W1T 4BQ as soon as possible.

Pile Analysis & Foundation Design Solutions

Oasys Pile is a tool developed to enable engineers analyse the behaviour and inform their design of axial and vertically loaded piles, and is a core component of our Piling Pro and Piling Bundles. 

Oasys Pile

For the analysis of piled foundations such as monopiles, and modelling isolated single piles, Oasys Pile provides users with the ability to perform typical requirements for projects where ground conditions are uncertain, variable and complex, including where there are substantial depths to bedrock. 

Why should I buy it?

Civil engineers and geotechnical engineers responsible for routine foundation design use Oasys Pile as part of their toolbox, addressing the need of calculations that cannot easily be replicated using spreadsheets. Pile provides users with a validated, robust and user-friendly method of calculations, ensuring acceptable and appropriate QA and QC standards are met. Used alongside Oasys Alp and Oasys AdSec, it allows geotechnical and structural engineers to communicate and make informed design decisions. 

Inform your design of axial and vertically loaded piles:

  1. Oasys Pile calculates the vertical load-carrying capacities and vertical settlements of a range of individual piles in a layered soil deposit.
  2. The theory in Pile is based on both conventional and new methods for drained (frictional) and undrained (cohesive) soils.
  3. Settlements are calculated for solid circular sections without under-ream (using the Mindlin method or t-z curves).

Capabilities of Pile

  • The graphical output depicts the variation of different pile capacities such as shaft resistance, end-bearing and total bearing capacity of the pile with pile depth. This can be exported in WMF format.
  • The text output presents the input data and results. The user also has the option to export these results in CSV format.
  • Settlement calculations can now be performed using t-z curves in addition to the Mindlin method.
  • Pile can be used to evaluate settlements arising from staged loading using the t-z curves option. This option also makes Pile the only commercially available software that can be used for thermal pile analysis.
  • The user has two choices for selecting datum: Depth below ground level and elevation above Ordnance Datum.
  • Pile capacities may be calculated for a range of pile lengths and a range of cross-section types such as circular, square and H-section. The circular and square cross-sections may be hollow or solid, whereas the H-section is only solid. Under-reams or enlarged bases may be specified.
  • Pile settlements may be calculated for a variety of pile lengths and a range of solid circular cross-sections without under-ream.
  • There are three approaches available to calculate the capacity of the pile: Working Load, Design Resistance and Code-Based.

The soil is specified in layers. Each layer is set to be drained (frictional) or undrained (cohesive) and appropriate strength parameters are specified. Maximum values can be set for ultimate soil/shaft friction stress and end-bearing stress within each layer.

Additionally, porewater pressures within the soil deposit can be set to hydrostatic or piezometric.

The trials are limited for 14 days only, and there is no functional limitation. Once you submit your details, a customer service agent will contact you and provide the free trial installer.

Existing customers who are fully maintained can download the latest versions of their software on demand from their personalised customer licensing portal.

Your login ID and Password for the portal is not the same as your website account. You can find your login details in your purchase confirmation email. Alternatively you can request for your login details to be sent to you by emailing [email protected].

We offer a limited-duration trial license for you to assess the suitability of our products for your projects.

During the evaluation period you will only be able to use the software for test purposes and not for commercial paid work, and for the duration we will support you to get the most out of your trial.

All we ask from you is some details so we can decide whether you are eligible for a trial.

What should I choose?

Standalone licenses are locked to an individual machine, but transferable by the user to another machine manually. Ideal for single users. Restricted to use within the country stated in the End User address submitted by Licensee to Oasys at the time of purchase.

Network Floating licenses can be activated on any number of machines, however you can only concurrently use the number of licences that you have purchased. Ideal for users requiring more flexibility or when working as part of a team. Restricted to use within the country stated in the End User address submitted by Licensee to Oasys at the time of purchase.

Network Floating International licenses can be activated on any number of machines, however you can only concurrently use the number of licences that you have purchased. Ideal for users requiring more flexibility or when working as part of a global team. Eligible for deployment world-wide at the Licensees leisure.

Both Subscription options will allow you the right to use the software for the defined term, with the full maintenance and support service included for the duration. The price will be fixed for the duration of the agreed term after which it will automatically renew for the same duration at the then current price.

12 month pay annually – Single payment for the full term at the commencement of the Subscription period

36 month pay annually – Three annual payments split the cost over the Subscription period. All payments are fixed at the time of purchase and are not subject to variance over time. Lower annual cost in comparison to 12 month option.

Keeping your software licences maintained gives you full access to technical support (telephone, email and web based) and ensures that your software is kept up-to-date with free downloadable updates. Maintenance is only available to existing licences and lasts 12 months. It is highly recommended that you keep your software licences maintained. Maintenance duration will be calculated from the date of expiry of the previous maintenance/initial warranty. If you are purchasing maintenance for licences that have been unmaintained for longer than 12 months please contact us in order to renew.
