As part of the Annual Academic’s conference held at the Institution of Structural Engineering in September 2016, the University of Sheffield were invited to present.
They gave a fascinating presentation on “The Extra Curricular Activities at Sheffield” which outlined how they use extra-curricular activities in Structural Engineering in Higher Education.
The Bridge Club
The University of Sheffield offer these activities to develop creativity and to help their students CV’s outshine competitors. In this they demonstrated how Oasys GSA software is used outside their core syllabus by students on design projects.
The presentation below was presented at the conference to show how GSA was used as part of the detailed design stage of a ‘Bridge Club’ project.
