This webinar introduced an exciting new capability in Oasys Gofer: performing Limit Equilibrium Method (LEM) slope stability analysis directly within the platform. Building on Gofer’s existing c‑phi strength reduction approach, the update enables users to run LEM and finite element methods side‑by‑side within the same model, using shared geometry and material definitions.
During the session, we demonstrated how traditional LEM assessments can be enhanced with insights into ground movement and soil stresses. We also showed how existing finite element–based Gofer models can benefit from an additional analysis pathway, helping to provide greater confidence, flexibility, and depth in geotechnical evaluations.
