Peter Debney appointed as Chair of the IStructE Yorkshire Regional Group (2024)

Customer Service Lead and Senior Application Specialist at Oasys, Peter Debney, announced his new position as Chair of the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) Yorkshire Regional Group via LinkedIn last week. The Yorkshire region supports the local Institution of Structural Engineers members, arranging regular technical meetings and CPD opportunities, as well as helping them towards chartership and beyond. Peter welcomes suggestions, volunteers for evening talks and new committee members.

Peter is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the IStructE, as well as a member of the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE). He contributes towards many aspects within Oasys with his roles such as Structural Application Specialist and Customer Service Lead. He has been a Visiting Professor at the University of Bradford and is a visiting lecturer at several universities. He is a regular public speaker and has published a book Computational Engineering.
