What is Pile

Pile analysis and foundation design

Oasys Pile enables analysis of individual piled foundations. The theory in Pile is based on both conventional and new methods for drained (frictional) and undrained (cohesive) soils. By inputting ground conditions and pile parameters, users calculate pile capacity and settlement outputs for single or multiple loading stages. This can be used to inform the design options for pile foundations. Different pile cross sections and material types can be assessed to multiple design codes. Structural and geotechnical engineers collaborate using an iterative workflow by combining outputs from Pile with Oasys Alp for specified capacity and settlement calculations that are used as inputs in Oasys AdSec to inform pile cross section characteristics.
