We would like to congratulate our friends at Waldeck Consulting (now forming part of Morson Praxis) as they have been shortlisted for two categories at the Building Innovation Awards for their work on the redevelopment of Perry Barr Station in Birmingham. The awards celebrate the individuals, organisations and partnerships that are taking UK construction to the next level.
Waldeck used Oasys MassMotion to establish the suitability of the design option for predicted future demand forecast of 1.1 million passengers in 2027, which would see a 58% increase from the base flows for the Perry Barr Station project.

The team at Waldeck took advantage of the four steps of using MassMotion and implemented this strategy for the redevelopment of the station which facilitated quick decision making through the adaptability of the model to suit any design changes.

Pedestrian simulation design software, MassMotion, is a versatile tool that can be easily customised to model the flow of people through or within a space or building in different scenarios. By predicting the movement of hundreds or thousands of individual personalities in a complex 3D environment, MassMotion enables users to test an unlimited number of scenarios to develop solutions that are incredibly reliable and accurate.
We are proud that our software has been used on this impressive redevelopment project that has been shortlisted for two honourable awards. We want to wish Waldeck Consulting good luck for the upcoming awards.
