LS-DYNA Introductory Course

Duration: 3 Days

This course is a foundation course for all users of Oasys LS-DYNA. The participant is expected to have some basic knowledge of material science, solid mechanics, engineering mechanics and finite element methods. Mesh generation is not covered in this course. Lasting three days, topics covered are as detailed below. In addition, a series of workshop examples are used to reinforce the content of the lectures.

Please note that the Oasys Software Suite (PRIMER, D3PLOT and T/HIS) is used for the pre- and post-processing of the workshop examples. A short tutorial for the Oasys Software Suite can be found here: "Introduction_to_Oasys_July2011". This document can be used prior to attending the LS-DYNA Introductory Course in order to get familiar with the main features of PRIMER, D3PLOT and T/HIS.
