What's New in GSA 8.4 ?

Key new features:

  • Piled Raft Analysis — extending the existing raft analysis capability to include pile-soil interaction.
  • Bridge load optimisation analysis to Eurocode — and update to Australian code.
  • Environmental Impact — allowing the assignment of environmental impact cost to materials to provide a total environmental cost of the structure. Data is provided to suggest appropriate values for the material type, grade and country.
  • Tied Interfaces — A tied interface constrains a list of slave elements to act as if connected to a list of master elements. A typical use of a tied interface is to zip together adjacent areas of 2D element mesh.
  • Batch saving of views — allowing several saved views to be saved to file in one operation.
  • Explicit entity colour definition — allowing colours to be assigned to elements, properties, materials, and stages.

A graphical summary of the new features in this version may be viewed in the GSA 8.4 New Features PowerPoint presentation.
