VdispVdisp calculates the vertical settlements (and stresses if required) within a layered elastic soil mass arising from vertical pressure loading applied to rectangular and circular loaded areas. It is ideal for predicting the settlement that may arise due to the action of several foundation loads and gives the user an understanding of the settlement pattern likely to arise both beneath and beyond the loaded area being analysed. The program assumes the soil is an elastic half-space when calculating the stress changes within the soil. Individual layer properties are used to calculate the vertical strain and the displacements resulting from these stresses. It effectively replaces the need for the engineer to use Newmark charts and other similar devices. Key Benefits:
