Outlook Version

  • Support for Outlook 2010 (32-bit)

Filing Locations

  • Now two types: "Personal" and "Collections". Collections can be shared with other users
  • Filing locations used by previous versions of Mail Manager are now listed as "Personal" in the collection column

    Collections
  • The description field is now mandatory

Filing

  • An improved algorithm is used to suggest filing locations
  • Restarting Outlook after resolving any filing location discrepancies e.g. renamed, moved etc will allow Mail Manager to file the pending messages

Search

  • General performance improvements
  • Select locations dialog: Ability to browse to a folder
  • Select locations dialog: Multiple columns as the filing dialog

Configuration

  • Simplified control of User Preferences
  • AdminEmailFiling.cfg can be used via a network folder
  • Admin user preferences tool is now a separate executable
  • A new Collections.txt file can be used to add or remove filing locations

Console

  • Improved dialog provides:
    • Filing activity
    • Log tab shows filing and other activity e.g. collection and configuration updates
    • Locations menu: Send to Mobile device, Import/Export "Personal" filing locations
    • Diagnostics menu: Moved from the Mail Manager Toolbar, includes mobile devices
    • Activity tab includes right-click options: Open, Remove & Explore Folder

Other features

  • Ability to back-up personal filing locations via the Console: Import/Export
  • Various dialog updates

Features retired

  • Filing dialog: Primary and Secondary Ref information combined into the Description column, now consistent with the Search and BlackBerry user interface.
  • Access to the Admin user preferences tool removed from the Tools menu (now a separate executable)
