What's New in Mail Manager 5.0
Mail Manager for the BlackBerry:
- Allows you to file emails directly from your Blackberry hand-held device.
- The BlackBerry software is provided free of change to all Mail Manager users.
- The email filing locations are the same as those you use with the PC version of Mail Manager and the software learns "as you file" and will offer suggested locations just like the PC.
New search features:
- Completely new user interface
- Multiple search windows allowed
- Date range slider (quickly filters the results to say less than one week)
- Print from preview (no need to open the filed email)
- Highlighted search terms in the preview pane
- Additional pre-defined query fields:
- Between e.g. john smith and arup.com
- Contains attachments
- Attachment name
- Comments (entered via Mail Manager)
- Powerful single query field includes:
- Terms (single words and phrases surrounded by double quotes)
- Fields (field name followed by a colon ":" e.g. subject: )
- Wildcard searches (single character wildcard = ?, multiple character wildcard search use the = *)
- Fuzzy searches (search for a term similar in spelling to "licence" use licence~)
- Proximity searches (finding words that are a within a specific distance away from each other e.g. "bridge collapse"~6)
- Boosting a term (use the caret symbol e.g. payment^4 demand. The higher the boost factor, the more relevant the term "payment" will be)
- Boolean operators (AND, "+", OR, NOT and "-")
- Search results:
- Show results in groups
- Show/hide columns
- List by ranking
- Export results to a .csv file
- Add/edit a comment
- Copy/move to another filing location
