Mail Manager

Service Pack 3 for Mail Manager was recently released and fixes a number of issues; more details can be found in the change log: http://www.oasys-software.com/products/document_management/mailmanager/change_log.shtml

Slope

The latest release of Slope, version 18.2 Build 2 was recently released with the following enhancements:

• Speed of file saving is increased by storing only the summary of results
• Limit radius option is provided in slip surface definition dialog box for defined radii case. Users can limit the maximum value of radius by selecting it
• The centre about which the moments are calculated in the non circular slip is added to the tabular output
• Graphical view is enhanced for some of the non circular slips which were not scaled properly in the previous releases

We are busy working on a number of Structural Software Releases which should be out in the next couple of months. Here is a sneak peek at some of the new functionality that you can expect:

Structural

GSA 8.4

• Piled Raft analysis
• Tied interfaces - making 2d elements more flexible in their use.

What are tied interfaces?

Tied Interfaces - constraints that tie together two lists of elements. A typical use of a tied interface is to zip together adjacent areas of 2D element mesh, overcoming poor topological connectivity. Tied interfaces can also be used to connect beams to 2D elements. Tied interfaces can be produced automatically as part of the mesh generation process.

AdSec 9.0

• Sustainability parameters
• More graphical manipulation of bars
• Ability to switch off bars
• Curvature/strain constraints
• Choice of strength criteria
• Improved EC2 crack calculations

ADC 8.2

• Eurocode 2 for beam design
• Improved graphics
• Export to AdSec option

We are busy working on a number of Geotechnical Software Releases which should be out in the next couple of months. Here is a sneak peek at some of the new functionality that you can expect:

Pdisp

• Pdisp ("pressure induced displacements") will predict vertical and horizontal ground movements from vertical and horizontal loading, so will replace Vdisp, which predicts only vertical displacements from vertical loads.
• Files may be exported to GSA for piled raft design.

Tunset

• Import model geometry
• Export contours of ground moment
• Subsurface displacement improvements

Frew/Stawal

• Combining of the two programs
• Calculate wall stability and wall forces throughout the construction sequence
• Free upgrade for all maintained customers

Pilset

A new Windows version of this previously DOS only program for pile settlement will be available soon.
