Oasys 9.3 Software Suite

Oasys 9.3 is the latest version of our Oasys Software Suite for pre- and post- processing of LS-DYNA models.

Following the success of Oasys Suite version 9.2 this new version provides the user with a variety of new tools to help reduce the amount of time spent pre- and post- processing a model and is compatible with the new features and keywords in LS-DYNA 971.

With this new release of Oasys PRIMER a number of new tools have been added to reduce the time taken to turn a mesh into a fully running LS-DYNA model. These include:

  • New Connections tool (spotweld, bolt, adhesive)
  • Improved contact penetration checking
  • Improved Keyword editor

New tools have also been added to allow dummy and seat positions to be modified quickly; these include:

  • Mechanism modelling
  • New dummy positioning features
  • Seat foam compression tools
  • Automatic Belt Re-Fit

The new Scripting option in Oasys PRIMER allows the user to write their own JavaScript with which to automate tasks and create their own menu and windows.

This new version of Oasys D3PLOT includes a number of new features such as:

  • Background images and movies (including automatic model alignment)
  • Support for SPH and Airbag Particle elements
  • Generation of User Defined Data Components using simple formula or read in from external files

The general layout controls in D3PLOT have also been improved

  • User can now create multiple pages along with multiple windows
  • Improved layout controls to give the user more flexibility
  • Settings files now store data on the layout and content of the various pages and windows

The Oasys T/HIS link has also been improved and now allows the user to create multiple graph windows within Oasys D3PLOT. The Ssttings file now stores FAST-TCF scripts for re-generating the same curves when a model is opened.

The new Scripting option in Oasys D3PLOT allows the user to write their own JavaScript for creating complicated User Defined Data Components and to produce their own windows and menus.

In this new version of Oasys T/HIS the graphics driver has been changed to OpenGL to provide a faster response and to allow the user more control over how the data is displayed.

New features include:

  • Support for Multiple Windows and Multiple Pages
  • Quick Pick options
  • Floating Legend option
  • Background Images
  • Visual manipulation of curves added to curve editing function
