DIGIMAT Seminar and Training

Thursday 18th - Friday 19th March 2010

Arup will be hosting a DIGIMAT seminar on the 18th March followed by an optional training day on the 19th March (limited spaces); both will be held at the Arup Campus.

These events will give attendees the chance to find out about the range of DIGIMAT software and will include presentations and demo sessions followed by a hands-on training day. Both days are offered free of charge and are open to anyone who is interested in finding out more about this powerful software tool.

The DIGIMAT software from e-Xstream Engineering is a nonlinear multi-scale material and structure modelling platform for predicting the behaviour of mixed materials, or micro structure materials such as:

  • Engineering plastics with fibre reinforcements (short, long, glass, carbon, ...)
  • Engineering plastics with fillers (glass, beads, talc, ...)
  • Hard metals (cemented carbides)
  • Nano composites
  • Rubber

DIGIMAT can also interface with LS-DYNA via the USER DEFINED MATERIAL capability. In this configuration, DIGIMAT acts as an advanced anisotropic, nonlinear and rate-dependent user defined material. More information
