Oasys PRIMER 9.3 rc1

This is the first release of Oasys PRIMER 9.3. Other Oasys software (D3PLOT, T/HIS, etc) is not included in this release.

New features in Oasys PRIMER 9.3 rc1 include:

  • Much-improved dummy positioning
  • Mechanism positioning, e.g. for seats
  • Ability to link motion of seat and dummy
  • Seat foam compression under the dummy
  • New capability to position the Instrument Panel Pendulum impactor
  • Solid-element spotwelds
  • New capabilities for creating bolts
  • New Connections Table for modifying spotwelds and bolts
  • Include file management from entity edit menus
  • Copy/translate, copy/rotate
  • Cut section display
  • Improvements to database/template automatic assembly system

Release notes for Oasys PRIMER are available from the documentation page. Presentations of the new features are available in the presentations section of our website. Updated manuals for OasysPRIMER 9.3 rc1 are not yet available. The version 9.2 manuals can be downloaded from the documentation page.

Oasys PRIMER 9.3 rc1 is available as an installation package (containing Oasys PRIMER and Oasy SHELL) or as an executable. Note - to run 64 bit versions you will need the new license file flcheck93.exe which is in the installation package.

The Instrument Panel Pendulum (IPP) Impact model is available to download here: arup_pendulum.key.gz (30 KB).

Download installation package of Oasys PRIMER 9.3 rc1

For installation download on unix/linux platforms:

  1. Download the file for the platform you require
  2. Unzip the file and untar the file
  3. You should have peripheral.tar, flex.tar and setup.csh
  4. Download the manuals if you require them
  5. Unzip the manuals.tar file, don't untar it
  6. If necessary, chmod 700 on setup.csh
  7. Type ./setup.csh start installation and create the oasys93 directory

For installation download on windows:

  1. Download the windows msi file in the table below
  2. Double click the msi file once downloaded to run the install shield

Oasys v9.2.3 PRIMER

Oasys PRIMER v9.2.3 executables are available for download. These are patched versions of the 9.2 executables and contain additional bug fixes as detailed in the documentation. 9.2.1-3 release notes The software carries the same Quality Assurance status as Primer 9.2 and does not contain any development work. We recommend that users rename their current Primer executable (e.g. to primer922.exe) and load this one into their oasys_92 directory.
