Title: Technical Sales Specialist - Engineering
Location: UK Flexible
Salary: Dependant on experience
Role: Oasys Ltd are looking for a highly motivated individual to develop a customer base around our engineering software portfolio, in particular Geotechnical products. The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing first line support for these products and working with our dedicated technical support team.

Oasys Ltd is the commercial name for ‘Software Technology’ a division of Arup Consulting Engineers. Oasys produces a large range of software for use in many industry sectors, these cover Geotechnical and Structural Engineering, Email Management, Pedestrian and Crowd Simulation plus others.
Job Description
Business Development
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers
- Develop relationships and manage business development activities to attract new customers
- Ensure high percentage of Product Maintenance
- Arrange activities to encourage software adoption within customers and prospects, such as seminars, webinars, on site visits
- Pre-sales, ability to deliver technical presentations to encourage software adoption
- Actively look for opportunities to cross-sell our solution and be able to talk about all Oasys products
- Work with resellers to develop commercial activities and expand commercial opportunities.
Support
- Act as front line support for customers for Geotechnical range of software
- Actively develop support relationships to ensure product maintenance renewals
- Interact with other members of support team
- Communicate issues back to development team
- Compile data on common requests for software development and feed back to development team
Training
- Deliver training courses for Geotechnical range of software
- Develop and maintain training material
- Develop online training modules for internal use and eventually external use, text based and video based
Technical Ability
- Ability to adapt to new technologies
- Ability to use and support a wide range of engineering software (training will be provided for our software)
- Demonstrate a high understanding of Engineering principles and codes of practice
- Deliver high quality, interesting and visually appealing presentations
Candidate Requirement
- Clear communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Highly motivated and willing to travel throughout UK, with some Worldwide travel
- Track record of Business Development and customer/client engagement
- Able to work confidently alone as well as integrate with the various teams
- Results oriented individual with excellent decision making skills
